Hello this is my first post please be gentle with me as I find myself around.,I am not sure where to post this,

I had my smart car suspension renewed yesterday and it is making a horrible sqeaking noise when I am driving or when it is still and I rock it from side to side it sqeaks,I only had it done yesterdayit cost me £500 ,will it settle down or should I take it back to the garage tomorrow.Thank you

Is the noise from the front or rear (and which end of the car was rebuilt)?

Sounds like it could be dry anti roll bar bushes. You could try giving them a squirt with silicone (Halfords sell in aerosol form sold as 'rubber rejuvinator' or something like it. Treat the door seals with it too).

Which Smart? 450 or 451 etc. If you got poly bushes fitted then that is the cause.

i highly doubt that you can get a 451 for £500

          A £500 repair as I read it. Not a £500 car.

I think if I'd spent £500 getting the suspension repaired & it wasn't perfect, I'd be taking it back to the garage that did the job!

          BTW. Welcome on board.

            I'm curious for two things

Why did you have 'the suspension' renewed in the first place ?

and what particular elements of 'the suspension' did they replace for that £500 ?
