Smart passion internal lock not working

The key fob works fine to lock/unlock the car. But yesterday I got in, pressed the button next to the hazards to lock it from the inside and it wouldn’t lock. The light on the button comes on for a few seconds then goes off and the doors aren’t locked. Previously the light would stay on and there would be a noise to indicate that it was locked.

Any ideas what Ican do to fix it?

which forfour do you have? is it a gen 1 or a gen 2?

It’s a 1st gen I think. Made 2004. I’m wondering if maybe it’s just a blown fuse, gonna see if that will fix it

Update: all of a sudden the driver’s door won’t open when unlocking with the button on the key fob. And now the button on the inside will lock all the doors fine.
