  • Heated seats

    Hi all
Is it an easy fit to replace the seats with the heated leather ones? Is the wiring there or does the loom have to be changed along with the seats and switches
    cheers

Physically changing the seats is a doddle. The wiring for the heaters won't be there though. When I looked into retro fitting heated seats a few years back most of the specialists at the time said it was a very involved task and would be easier to add aftermarket heater elements to non-heated seats instead.

I was given leather seats to upgrade from my cloth ones. I've discovered they are heated seats but my 450 2002 pure does not have the correct wiring loom.
So can they be somehow 'wired in' and just connected to a switch on the dash? Isn't that kind of what happens when you get a heating element added to your existing seats?
Do you know of a auto electrician that can do this? (Essex/Herts)

Proper Retrofitting will cost in the region of £500 for new loom and labour
