  • "barn" find Brabus Cabrio

A week ago a friend sent me a link to a smart on farce book, that was open to offers, I already have a 450 600 that is in need of a new wing thanks to local bus driver reversing into it while parked, her excuse was "I had my hazards on why didnt you move it" unfortunately i was in shower at time, any how i offered guy £100 for it, then i noticed it was a cabrolet, when i asked him about it it turned out to be a Brabus, No paperwork possibly a import LHD, we setteled on £350, so long as it started and drove. this was Sunday morning last week, I rang a few friends borrowed a trailer and wifes A class, and drove accross wales to Blaenau Ffestiniog, a lovely grey town where rain comes down at 45 degrees in buckets, with £350 in my stickky hand, Car has done 110000k and has a service history in dusseldorf up to 2009 and the next 2 in london, i emailed seller when i got home and dry and asked for some sort of reciept to prove date when i bought it he gave me a short answer, and said he had given me all info he had and didnt know what more i wanted then blocked me on farce book and phone, strange some people, still praying its not nicked but know his address wink
im in process of registering her in uk hope to have sorted in a few weeks here is a few pictures

Seems like a good buy. Is it definitely a Brabus, as it has the wrong wheels?

Has brabus wheels brabus skirts brabus exhaust and a brabus front spoiler.
Interior photos required and a chassis number and that will tell you IF it is a genuine Brabus

That is definitely a brabus. If it isn't then someone has spent a lot of money making it look like one.

Yes it is a brabus VIN WME4504331J, the wheels on it are off my other smart and spare at momet that one has Tracklines on it, std smart wheels keep it mobile while i get tyres sorted

this week i had a play with my code reader, i managed to adjust clutch grab point, and program a keyfob i found in a roadster in local breakers, to both smarts, now i have a "master" and clear all fault codes. Waiting for DVLA to sort registration feels like its taking for ever, just me being impatient, was fun driving to and from mot station with no number plates though

today the doccuments arrived from DVLA its finally registered, great start to the day, I went to put brabus wheels back on, drove it onto a two post ramp, leaned into it to release handbrake and bang car rolled back and caught the quater light on the post and shattered, that changed mood a bit but i still enjoyed driving it

Ouch, the rear quarter windows are fairly easy to get a hold off though so not too much of an issue I would think.
