Diagnostic scanners?

I am familiar with VAGCOM and I would like to have a similar capability for my newly acquired Smart. I have read about MB Star but the complete kit with a DEL laptop exceeds my budget. I have seen the MB iCar at around £100 which seems ok but any advice or recommendations would be really useful.

Delphi DS150E or Würth WOW. Buy early editions. Cost around £30.

iCarSoft i980 or MB-II very good bits of kit for the money.

Plenty of ChineyShitey star available.
Vagcom is Way better for running multiple checks at the same time

It won't do any adjustments like setting clutch bite point, learning gear changes and key coding.

MB Star makes adjustments and activates read and erase functions. (and many more configure the key remote control
Delphi / Autocom makes the diagnosis (reads and deletes errors) but that's all.
Can the i980 adjust the clutch / gearbox?
