Coil spring problem

I have replaced a broken coil spring on the drivers side but it is rubbing on the wheel arch. rsz_img_20180424_194338.jpg
Compared with the passenger side rsz_img_20180424_194409.jpg
Any ideas on what I have done wrong?

Your new spring is badly formed. Is it one of Eurocaroarts cheap springs?
