It's been a while since I looked in, but hopefully someone can help, my 07 reg 450 has developed a fault with its heater control. The problem is the slide will not go to the very ends of its travel in the slot which shows the temperature settings. It will not reach the coolest setting, (no problem at this time of year!) Nor will it reach the hottest one a real problem, when traveling a round the Welsh Hills where I now live when the temperature is -6! The slide will travel in the middle of the slot, but when you reach the final quarter it springs back to the middle! This has happen before, but has freed it self. Any ideas welcome, many thanks.

What distance should be reached to reach 3 blobs? A maximum of 8km should be enough.
If this is not the case, then you have air in its engine cooling system
lack of antifreeze or defective thermostat.
1.Check the antifreeze level
2. Remove the air from the cooling system.
3. If not resolved but the temperature does not reach 3 blob then change the thermostat.
Usually an air bag is formed in the heating matrix.
The heating matrix may also be clogged - a washing them solve the problem.
