  • Boost Pressure Sensor

Hi, I'm very new to Smart ownership and my 45bhp Smartie cdi has a problem, its showing I need a new Boost Pressure Sensor which I have ordered so that bit isn't the problem ! The problem is where the hell does it go ? I've looked all around the engine bay and it's got me beat
Can anyone give me a clue ? or if i'm really lucky a pic or two ?
Thank you in advance and fingers crossed.

I believe yours has same sensor and in same position as the earlier Cdi engine fitted in the 450.

Boost pressure sensor sits on rubber anti vibration mount just to the right of inlet manifold.

That is the one. It is connected to inlet manifold via a rubber hose.

Well it's now sorted but it wasn't at the end of the inlet manifold it was about in the middle down the back under the aircon pipes, and a proper git it was too !

Bloody good engine hatch on the 451 is larger than the 450.

I think boost pressure sensor is just visible aft of air con pipes between vacuum pipe and forward of fuel pipe. Lateral position is defined by a longitudinal line drawn trough the "i" in cdi on inlet manifold.
