I'm new to this site. I'm wondering if it is safe to drive my 2009 Smart with the power steering light on and it obviously not working because the steering is heavy. Driving it isn't an issue, but I'm wondering if it is safe and if it will do damage to the car if it continues to be driven. Any comments, advice, fixes would be appreciated. Driven by my daughter and our only reliable car presently so I am concerned. Thanks.
