  • Miss Fire makes short irregular visits!

Since the engine change Zorica has been complaining about missfires and this weekend we drove 680km (I was driving) and I found that it (sometimes) missed out during full throttle and +2000revs. It is like a missed stroke about 3-4 times in 5 seconds. That it is during full throttle and +2000revs makes me suspect something to do with the lambda.
At +2000 revs and full throttle the lambda is not regulating the mix, it has something to do with cooling parts of the engine when working hard.
I have checked for fault codes and there is none!

    Crank Position Sensor hiccoughing maybe?

    Flakey plug?

    dicky lead somewhere?

    Blocked fuel filter?

The crank position sensor is also one of my suspects.
No fault codes though! I would expect fault codes!
The "new" engine is a 80 BHP while the ECU and the injectors is still a 60 BHP
Am I right that the difference between those engines is the camshaft and injectors?

Ah.. Yes the idling is a little uneven to.

Does anyone have the part number for the Crank Position Sensor?

Yes I forgot that! I kept the original (60BHP) turbo.

The part number(s) for a replacement part (same for both 600 & 700cc cars):
              • Bosch: 0261 210 142
              • Merc: A 003 153 95 28
But I would read the codes, see if it is linked to a specific cylinder, and check the coil packs.
Swap them to a different cylinder and see if the error codes follows.

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

Miss-fires under load are usually ignition related on the high voltage side. (It is more difficult to introduce a spark into a high pressure environment).
As per other's advice - coil packs.

There are no fault codes, fault codes would have made it easyer to isolate the problem.
I was taking a trip yersterday with a mOBiDic connected but then of course the problem did not revial itself.
I will take a look when I come home today, there might be something I have missed when swapping engines.

That looks like a very good tip!
It was 1426SEK – 15% at the Swedish dealer.

That seems to be a very good price!
At least compared to what I have found in Sweden!

                          Thank You for the tip!

Cheapest in Europe I think. Regrettably, according to their website, InCarMotorFactors only ship to UK.

Well I have ordered and there was the choice Sweden when deciding shipping.
