New gearbox?

Hi,
On the way to work this morning I got the 3 lines on the dash, when I try to put it in to gear I just get a banging sound, any suggestions what it could be?

Clutch actuator and/or its and associated transmission wiring.
The gearbox will be fine - just an external fault.

I had the actuator adjusted 4 weeks ago, could be a new clutch ?
If it needs a new clutch, would a Brabus clutch improve performance?

Could be but begin with the simplest, cheapest to fix first. From past experience, when the clutch actuator fails to perform, there is a clanging sound as gear selection is attempted.

If it needs a new clutch, would a Brabus clutch improve performance?

It's only a coupling.

It's worth having a quick look under the car from behind just in case it has fallen off - as mine did. If so, it will be hanging there by its wires. (The mounting lugs corrode and break. If your adjustment 4 weeks back involved disturbing the bolts.....)
