Intercooler upgrade ?

Hi,

Did anyone tried to install a larger intercooler undertray ? I mean at the place where the brabus chargecooler radiator is installed. Looks like a better place for airflow and a fairly larger core could sit there I think.

I used to loose an intercooler scoop each winter. Modified the last one by riveting the side of a car wash shampoo container to its lower end where the rubber blade normally sits. Also modified the lower fixing by replacing the plastic rivet with an M5 bolt and stainless steel clips at upper fixing. The modified scoop is so effective that I have since never heard the fan run. Fan will cut an at about 60C IAT and cut out at about 40C. The fact fan very rarely runs would indicate that intercooler is more than adequate for my driving. Have of course tested fan with Star so I know it works.
