Support the Froglet meet! 3rd May

Open invite to everyone:

You may have see Pam Gazey post details of 'froglet' before
( http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Pitche...ey=KoXejGki4gs )

for those who may have missed it!!!

The MR2 powered fortwo is running at the Shelsley Walsh hill climb over the bank holiday weekend 3rd/4th May.
As the Sunday (3rd) co-insides with date of when the Gloucester meet would be I thought it would be a good idea to go and support the Gazeys fastest smart on the hills!!!

Sunday is the practice day, but we should still see the car make a couple of runs at least, and have a good day out....bring picnic etc & hope for nice sunny day!
We have been told that we can have our own 'smart' parking area so lets try & fill it with as many cars as possible!!!
Practice starts from 9.30.....(YES in the morning!!!!).....so try & get there early
Admission is £14 for Monday, and it's £10 for the Sunday practice (thats per person)

Shelsley Walsh is just to the North west of Worcester...post code for those sat navs WR6 6RP but I think its fairly well signposted as you get near it.

Anyone coming from the south/Wales meet me (if you want) at Strensham services M5 just north of M50, at 8.45am.

Hope to see a few of you there!

Re: Support the Froglet meet! 3rd May

BUMP!!!

Only a couple of weeks to go, so who else is coming to show their support???

There was a few people said they would like to see this car in action, and film it, so....are you coming????

As said, we get our own 'smart' parking area, so it would be good to have a few cars to put in it!!!
The cost on the Sunday is £10 (not as OP).....Froglet is entry no102, so if you do make it slightly after the opening time, you should still get to see it run a couple of times!

Attending so far:
Me
Puddlejumper
Oliver
Captainorca

Come on guys, there has got to be a few more who would like to see this?????

Re: Support the Froglet meet! 3rd May

Well, this time tomorrow we will be in the Paddock signed on and waiting for practice to start. It looks like a weekend of wheel changing as the forcast is dry for Sunday and possible showers for Monday.

If you want to get a feel for the hill, click on the video link attached.

Cheers and see ya!

Re: Support the Froglet meet! 3rd May

Cheers for the update.

A shame there arent more like minded Smart enthusiasts coming but in some respects it will be a lot less stress. The big problem with hillclimbing is that you only get a few seconds to practice so Sunday will be a big learning curve. The forcast is good and with a new set of wheels and slicks its a big challange, but it sounds a treat and is already turning heads and making people think outside of the box.

Looking forward to meeting you, but I think we may have already met at Billing and Gaydon.

See you in the morning

Pam and Jim

Re: Support the Froglet meet! 3rd May

Thanks to Pam & Jim for getting Froglet on the track yesterday!!!

Great 'different' day out in the sun....hope you managed to do ok today, and didn't break anything!

Froglet looks great 'in the flesh'....thanks for letting us have a sit inside....next time I wanna try it with engine running and some place to see what it goes like.
Such a neat looking conversion...I think it would make a great road car, 220bhp & lots of torque = nice!!! (and without taking up much of boot space either!!!)....just need to drop the suspension by 3 -4 inches now & it will probably corner like mine

Photos of the day here: http://ian-dolphin.fotopic.net/c1692522.html

2 short videos will be sorted soon.

Looking forward to next outing at Prescott.
