  • Alarm going a bit mental

    Hi everyone.

This happened to me a few years ago and luckily I was still under warranty but it's happened again so wondering if anyone can shed any light on it.

Basically, I've just unlocked the car and as soon as I did this (or opened the door) the alarm has started going off, gone off after a while (as they do anyway) but then started again intermittently until I got out the car (opening the door again made the alarm go off).

Since leaving the car to its own devises the alarm hasn't gone off again and whilst in there I did try the inner sensor alarm button to see if that stopped it but to no avail.

Am I just unlucky with this problem or has it happened to anyone else and any clues as to what to do to fix it as I fear it may go off any second and don't want to be disturbing the neighbours all night.

    Thanks

If it's really doing your head in pull fuse 28 and all your worries will be over. If you leave it out remember to put it back in when you have a service. The star diagnostics will not communicate with it out. The Forfour alarm can be a real pain.

yup - mine did it and wouldn't stop!!

pull the fuse, leave for a few mins, replace and all will be fine!! just needs a reset really!!

i was on a military establishment when mine went mental - highly embarrassing!!

pop over to www.forfour.co.uk and say hi and tell us about your car
