Hill Start Assist not working

I bought a Roadie yesterday and I noticed it isn't holding the car on the hills like it should.

I am not touching the hand Brake as I'm aware when using the hand brake HSA is not applied.

Any ideas?

Nope No warning lights.

What it should do is just keep the brakes on after you take your foot off the brake pedal for a fraction of a second. As you say nothing to do with the HB. Take it back and tell them if you are sure. It is not on for long but you should not roll back at all in that time it gives you to get on the accelerator.

My HSA stopped working when I had problems with my steering wheel, as I understand it it's all linked to the ESP, ABS etc (correct me if I'm wrong)

Definitely worth getting it diagnosed to make sure it's not something more serious although I'd have thought you'd have some warning lights on if it was

On the 451 I notice that you have to be pretty firm to engage the hill hold. Just incase you're not stamping firmly enough

On my roadster the Hill Start Assist only holds long enough for me to go from the brake to the fun pedal.
Is it just not holding at all? or is it not as long as you expected?

Are the brake lights working? As I understand, the brake lights use the same switch as the HSA. If the switch fails, both stop working.
