You would have to ensure that any photo's are hosted on your own server, as the poor ickle funky server would have a fit with loads of big piccies on.

Not a problem doing that for me, Gav. I put my images on my .mac storage anyway. I hardly (if ever) use the attachments wotsit.

excellent idea, even if we've no use for photshop or 'shopped' images, it's sometimes nice to have pretty pictures to look at.
