You're maybe too young - he did lots of radio work as well as being an MP. The Minced Morsels link is an advert for dog food he did.

Can't find a copy of the advert anywhere on the net though, he was chosen because he looked so much like the dog afaik

What is Fido?!

He was never particularly interested in achieving fame ( not like the tatentless wannabes of reality and talent shows).

But he was such a talented man it happened almost by accident.

They all get names but the fridge doesn't ? discriminatory, that is
