Looking at the 451 and the 450 forum, I don't see the number of posts like they used to be, really low? sometimes a few days apart..

Re: not many posts
Many of the smart forums are quieter these days. My view is that many of the "vocal" early adopters have moved on from their smarts now, and the majority of the 451 owners don't really see the car as anything other than an economical runabout and don't really consider themselves part of the "community", and equally don't want to stand out - which is why most are black, white or silver, rather than the funky colours the 450s used to get spec'd in.
thesmartclub forum used to be buzzing when we first bought ours (in 2005) but these days there's barely anyone left on there.

Re: not many posts
The other issue is that the community has become quite a bit more diluted since the advent of Facebook & Twitter. There are quite a few people I know who only keep in touch with the smart world via these outposts.
Also, as the previous poster said, alot of 451 owners are seeing their smart purely as a vehicle whereas when the 450s first came out, then the Roadster and Forfour, they were much more of a unique vehicle hence why the community built up.
It's a shame to see how quiet it's all gone.

Re: not many posts
I suppose over here in the states, we are still enthusiastic over our smarts. There are several US based forums, and most are active. Smart Car of America is the biggest and seems to be filled with a lot of enthusiastic owners. I have had my US spec Brabus almost three years and am still loving it. I have other cars and it is sort of a toy that I enjoy modding. You guys seem to have more active meet ups and such than we do, but we do hold a few interesting events through out the year.
