Wandered past my local VW dealer and had a peak at the 3 door UP . Well packed car even if looks are not totally my taste. Long wait list for the 3 door and 5 door when it arrives.

Wondered about the name. After all couldn't see any helium balloons carrying it over the traffic ...

But then it occurred to me that it explains where the LUPO went. Save a couple of letters ... and LO! The UP !

I haven't seen a real one, but they look alright to me. The name is an odd recent VW thing, the concept version of the Scirocco was called IROC. The electric car version of the Up is going to be called E-Up, that should sell well in Yorkshire

iv see one on the road in leeds and i have to say its a strange one... the front looks like a veedub but the back, it looks like the guy styling it reached the end of his ruler and thought what can i do, the back just ends suddenly, the 'UP' is a big let down for me

Sat in an Up yesterday at the Pageant of Power, and I fit with headroom to spare. It's as much room as a Smart, maybe a little more (I'm 6'6", I've sat in a Citroen C1 and struggled, I wasn't expecting the space). I had a sit in a new new Beetle too, so cramped for head and leg room I had to double check the seat was all the way back, it was. Not good.
