Identify the car

Ignore the mechanic (for now), can anyone identify the car in this picture?



It isn't for a competition or anything, and no, I don't have a larger picture, or the answer already. It is driving me barmy trying to figure it out, so I thought I would ask for help here.

Do you know who the girl is? if you do, do a search under her name and you might find a few more pictures of the car when she done this photo shoot.

mybe its a early mercedes .
my brother had one that had a indicator light above the light on the wing .


1954 mercedes-benz 220

on your photo can you see the emblem on the hub caps , looking at your photo with a magnifying glass it looks like mercedes emblems
even the chrome strip along the side , also check the upright fender on the bumper & spotlight .

It's a Mercedes W128 from the late 50's.

they did not do a 1950,s number with w128

just checked with my brother who has always had mercedes over the years , also checked on the internet .

mercedes models in the 50,s had numbers :- 190 . 220 . 300 . 300s . 300sl which was the gullwing

From what I gather, the W code is similar to the model codes like 450 and 451. The numbers (190, 200, etc) are like the different engine things such as mhd or even the spec (pulse, passion). Well, it's about as close as a comparison that you can get with Smarts. Don't quote me though
