have fitted new aluminium metal running lights , fully waterproof . [ far superior ] from ebay .

i tried the black plastic ones first [ fitted 2 sets ] they kept getting water / condensation in them even though they say they are waterproof .

      HI , PROBLEMCHILD1976

yes , they are very bright .
they have treaded bolts coming out the back of them , with nuts [ tread length about 1 inch.
they are painted in black sheen paint .
i painted mine with silver to match my grille & front spoiler .

dont know how to get a link from ebay , i just typed in led running lights. [ not that clever ] hence my nickname .

Re: new day / running lights

Hi Tony, very interested in doing this mod on our 450.
Can you tell me.... do you have to cut anything out of the front wings or is it just 2 holes for the mounting bolts?

And wiring in the DRL control module - how difficult is that (bearing in mind I'm a numpty!)?

              Cheers.

Well given an LED costs a few pence, £7 seems like a good price (think they were £15 when I bought mine)

I'd rather buy 10 of them than spend £80 on the rip off Ring made ones

Re: new day / running lights

                  HI , 137699 .

i just drilled two holes for the bolts on the lights on the wings

as regards wiring , i was lucky as i had no foglights in the grille , so utilised the wiring
behind the grille for foglights to power the running lights & so also had a readymade switch which was for the foglights
now used to switch running lights on & off .
also the foglight switch is fused & ignition controlled , so no chance of leaving them on .

                    HI , MadDan .

its nothing to do with price or money , mate

its just life & trial & error , you have to try things out

most people will admit they have been down that road , bought something that as
not worked out or up to the job , if you admit to it even you have been there.

                    fair comment though .

                    drive safe .
