The limit has now been removed from the early bird special, so everyone can get them for $80, albeit with $40 international shipping

That seems to be very common. US projects have unreasonably high shipping and non US projects don't.

$40 shipping! I's it delivered on a gold plated pallet?

I have funded 5 projects in the US and they have all charged $10 for shipping internationally so I think $40 is taking the u no wat !

So far nothing has grabbed me yet in the UK ones I think it will take a time to get them up to speed so am watching keenly

I generally look on there every day (they need to sort the Kickstarter site out TBH. It could do with a "what's new" in each section).
I've backed 8, 2 didn't make it. 4 are UK, 1 Italian, 1 American. The 2 failures were American.

It never occurred to me that so many were from the UK, maybe the postage is putting me off without realising. Or it could be that a lot of the US projects are over priced or just pants.

They should rename it Walletstarter as the number of wallets on there (that normally get funded) is excessive. Generally they are just a flat piece of something with a rubber band/elastic/rubber o ring around it.

yep JJ it really is awsome as I say I am ready for the UK one to get up and running - and yes a whats new section would help alot although I do pick up some new stuff from FB which is good
