Any chance of a lift?

Hi all, slim chance I know, but thought it was worth a shot before I have to get be train! I need to get from Colchester to Baldock hartfordshire on Tuesday coming, the 26th. Leaving about 2/3 happy to pay fuel if anyone is heading that way? I'm off to pick up my new, well new to me, for two!
Seems my only option is train into London to come all the way back out again!!

I can't help with a lift but National Express might be cheaper or offer non London routes?

Hi, thanks for the reply! I checked, and it's very cheap, but there is only one coach a day, and it leaves at 9am. And I have to work until 1ish.
My friend was going to drive me, but he broke his arm.
