  • Can you sleep in a Smartcar?

Was thinking sponge mat over folded passenger seat Pillows on the dashboard. Maybe suitcase to fill the passenger foot well. Sleeping bag, Blankets. Should be plenty of room for me 5 feet 6 - has anyone tried it?

Sounds like it should work.....why not give it a try yourself and see if it's comfortable?......or its probably easier to just sleep in the seat!....or get a room? ;-)

I've often thought about it, but I imagine I would be a bit too tall at 5ft 4. I know Purplehella has slept in her 451 in the same way, but with the boot open in summer!

Just sleep like a horse, not standing up but sitting comfortably in driver's seat.

do you mean 'sleep' or sleep?
                lol

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

In the 451 you can pop the seat belt guides off and force the seat to recline into the boot nearly flat. A few pillows and even me at 6'2" can sleep in one.
