if had the plastic tubing on mine go just yesterday. i removed the damaged bit and removed below the damaged bit and used some heat shrink. used it today to suck the extra oil out of my mums focus after dad over filled it and worked well
I just cut mine to length as the damage to my hose was towards the end of it. End product is slightly shorter of course but still you don't need full length of the hose for the Smart.
I used a floor scotia cutting tool as it has a flat section that the blade is brought down on to - used it in the hope that it wouldn't crush the end of the metal interior section of the hose and happily it didn't.
Isn't it merely Bowden outer cable? - as used on bicycle brakes and a thousand and one other things.
Bowden cable used to be sold in lengths for making up your own cables, possibly still is. Trip to a breakers and plunder a throttle cable and strip it of its innards?
