Recently, Shell has changed the formulation of its V-Power petrol. Sold under the name V-Power Nitro, they claim to have increased the additives by 25%. My Roadster runs smoother on it, but lacks responsiveness. Has anyone else tried it? When the tank runs dry, till try a different brand, Has anyone else tried this?

I filled up with it yesterday but not gone far to say yet. But a mate put it in his for two and found it ran rough. So filled with Texaco 97 and now ok. Off to hambach next week so will have a good run to find out how it performs

Re: New Shell V-power Nitro - feels odd
Err JJ, every other fuel I have used has shown improved mpg since the weather got better - vPower is the only one which has got worse.
I'm actually getting better economy from Morrisons 95 std unleaded though admittedly the car runs better on Nitro+ than mozza's 95.

Re: New Shell V-power Nitro - feels odd
Fair enough - I was sort of alluding to bhp dropping off a bit in hot weather and right foot compensating
The sun (and good music) normally makes my driving more sprightly than the overcast and dreary
I can also see how lower performance can offer better mpg
Like I said - no issues with the BRABUS and love how much smoother the car revs (almost softer)
Anyone noticed a random increase in nitro+ cost over old v-power??

Re: New Shell V-power Nitro - feels odd
its about 5p more here in leeds.
my MPG on my 1.1 has remained roughly the same on nitro+.
i used to get around 40-45 MPG and its roughly the same. over the last 30,000 miles it averaged 42.58 MPG.
