Well I guess it's not the fuel as the tickover is still erratic. I'll get it checked at the next service

The warmer weather will be having effect on mpg, you need to bare that in mind.

To me, it really does feel that then engine runs "easier"

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

Re: New Shell V-power Nitro - feels odd

To add further "fuel" to this debate - after seeing a 2-3mpg fall off in the roadster, we've now tried nitro+ in the 450.

The 450 has been running at around 48-52 mpg on sainsburys or Tesco super unleaded. We have run 3 tanks of nitro+ through it and have had returns of 44mpg, 41mpg & 42mpg - I was beginning to think there was something wrong with the car but 2 subsequent tanks of sainsburys have returned 50 & 51 mpg.

So I've no idea how it is both of our cars return lower mpg on nitro+ whereas everyone else is getting better mpg.

Weird indeed, these cars do seem to vary quite a lot though in performance, maybe smarts maps you have don't suit the fuel?

Mr Mynheer doesn't like the new Nitro. Loved the V-Power, but not as smooth or as frisky on Nitro. Filled up with Texaco 97 and within a short distance the difference was noticeable, back to his old self.

Just make sure you check what garage will take the voucher (use the garage finder on the right) - my local one doesn't but one 3miles away does
