Evilution Website now charging to view?

Just noticed this.

I know that there is a great deal of info on the site but I'm disappointed that the owner is now charging for the privilege of reading it.

There's always www.fq101.co.uk which is still free.

I'd rather offer a good website than a free one.
After 10 years helping people over email for nothing and funding the whole thing myself.
I'm disappointed that people expect everything for nothing.

£10 a year Kane saved me this ten times over by taking his advice and doing bits from the Evilution site rather than go to a garage THANKS KANE

Maybe everyone would prefer to watch 3 x 30sec adverts (a la YouTube or 4od) before being able to see a guide.

It's only disappointing because it used to be free. If it never existed and then was suddenly available for £10 a year then you'd be saying that it was great value for money!!

Some of us pay to be on these forums just to keep them going.

Some of us also fund our own forums and it's far from cheap!

Some of us have to pay additional costs for photobucket hosting because of the number of people viewing our pics through guides and inputs onto these forums.

Some of us pee £50 up the wall (literally) every Saturday night

Some of us spend £7 a day on cancer sticks

Etc etc

I pay a tad to keep smartmaniacs going so no problems with this either. My Evil aux input wire is still going strong - thanks.

Yes I agree it does. Unfortunately not only does this comment come with the low post count (it is generated automatically, so the mods tell me) but it is also untrue.

There was 2 options, leave it free and let it die or ask for help and let it thrive.

There hadn't been anything really new added for a year, this coincides with me leaving my ex and going it alone. Life isn't cheap and the site had to suffer.
Now I have a new lease of life and am really getting back into the swing of things. Looking forward to bringing you all new unique info and ideas.

oh right so youre a paid member (supporter) of smartmaniacs as well.

for the record I am not a supporter of smartmaniacs as they dont want to take my money (their choice) and i didnt pay to join evilution (obviously), but i would have if i had to.

the post count ONLY counts posts made outside of the "general" area so doesn't count the one liners (unless in a more technical area)

I've paid my **** and henner , I wish there had been a site like that when I had my elise, would of saved me a fortune. But then I am a newbee smartstar... And don't know any different to the site.
