Sync keys

We are having trouble with the keys syncing with the car they seem not to be talking to the car. We have just put new buttons on one of the key fobs . Can anyone help

The car isn't talking to the key, you'll need to take it to Merc or a smart specialist to have them recoded.

As already mentioned the keys need to be retaught to the vehicle by using a STAR machine.
