I don't have a 451 heater diagram on the site for exactly this reason. People ignore information given and start taking stuff apart. What did you expect to find in there? There are currently ONLY 2 common faults with the heating system. The fan stops working (see the previous link) or the hot/cold mix doesn't work properly (in which case it needs a recalibration).

Step away from the car. 2 of us have already said it'll be the motor, it definitely isn't the controller.

Can you please shed some light on this who does the recalibration - does it have to be a smart dealership or can this be done at home.
        Sorry to highjack the thread.

hope you get the blower sorted

You haven't fixed anything. If it's working now, it fixed itself. If the fan doesn't work and then suddenly comes back after hitting a pothole, it has corrosion on the stator.

What you have done is pulled the control cable off. The other end is under the dash on the left hand side, right up behind the dash.
If you have the stereo out, reach in the hole, over to the left behind the dash, you'll find were it goes.
It's an absolute nightmare to get back on even if you know where it goes.

Look in the background, the white cog arrangement, that's what you are aiming for.

Yeah I did fix it I changed out the dial as it was broken/snapped and this is what else happens thanks for informing me on this "corrosion on the stator" so can I get to the stator and clean it up or just buy another ? And yes I had the radio out and looked all over I couldn't find out where to put the cable but least you are pointing me in the right direction thank you for all your help except for the comment "It's an absolute nightmare to get back on even if you know where it goes" lol Thankyou again 😁 James Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
