brake callipers

i was looking on fleabay for replacement bosch calipers for my 2002 450 and noticed that the later 2008 ish look identical ,is this actually the case or are there subtle differences in the castings ?

Piston diameter is same 42 mm. Brake pads and disc same. The 451 caliper does not have slotted ear at fixation point to lower slide pin. I am 90% sure 451 calipers will fit.
