  • Hello

Hi, my name is steve, I have just become the owner of my first Smart fortwo pure 2002. After years of commuting on a motorbike I thought it was time to get back onto 4 wheels. I think the novelty of getting wet, cold, dressed in bike gear twice a day has worn off now, the constant risk of being thrown down the tarmac on my head becomes more realistic each day as I mostly ride in rush hour.
The lure of a dry, warm environment and music with no clothes changes every time I go out just got too much (and the fact I picked up this little number for a grand from a guy in the next unit at work). It has a broken front spring, engine went into safe mode because I found 2 pipes had come off the turbo boost solenoid (he was quoted from smart £6000! for an engine change and front suspension......£6000!!!) so I took the risk, I can fix all these faults no problem, other than small niggles the car is straight and very clean. I went for the car as It looks like fun and not much more expensive running costs than the bike.

    So thats me.............Hello.

      Re: Hello

Hi, I started riding when my daughter was 1, my car at the time was a highly modded Austin Mini Van, it was due for MOT and needed tyres and welding and a few other things, it was cheaper to buy a scooter for £400 and the fact I did not have time to do the work. So now I have had my fun and time to be sensible again.
