From what I've gathered, the large rotating bristles used in these automatic drive-through car washes can damage the paintwork and can leave very fine scratches ... also you can't guarantee whether every nook and cranny will end up getting cleaned. Far better to do it by yourself with a good quality woollen cleaning mitt, shampoo and microfibre drying towels

          2 Buckets!

          One full of cold water
One full of your hot soapy suds

          Reason being

          Dip in Hot/bubbles
          Onto Car
Rinse in Cold bucket leaving and grit and dirt in cold water
          Dip in Hot
          Onto Car

Repeat above till you have a really dirty cold water bucket but you still have a clean washmit mit and a clean hot soapy bubble bucket with no grit or grime in the bucket which you are not then washing/rubbing onto your car scratching it

Get your microfiber cloths from Costco bag of 30 half the size of the one david linked above for £15
