Re: Next Time You See Vicky Butler-Henderson....
Not sure why you have resurrected such an old film, it's been a long time since vicky worked for the BBC or Smart fitted 600cc engines.
She doesn't seem to grasp that a city car has different priorities and attributes to a sports car - indifferent gear changes, top speed and handling are acceptable compromises.
She's nice to look at, but possibly not the sharpest tool in the box - though to be fair she may have had to follow a script?Last edited by davros7760; 28-09-10, 06:49 PM.

Re: Next Time You See Vicky Butler-Henderson....
Everything she has said there (don't forget it was 1998) was absolutely true, don't know why you are all ripping her to pieces??
My 600cc year 2000 Pulse was kak until it was re-mapped and wider wheels fitted...some of you must have short memories or rose tinted specs??

It is designed as a single function car - to get 2 people round a city and save space.
She would have to be an idiot to complain that the ford Ka has 4 seats and a 42 only has two seats, or it only has a top speed of 84mph - 14 mph above the legal speed limit.
I put forward the opinion that the compromises were acceptable in a city car and you would seem to disagree.
By way of healthy debate, can you justify your (apparent) expectation that the original 42 should have had excellent handling, acceleration and a much higher top speed ?
