Multiple Identity Amnesty

We've seen a rise in the number of people using more than one ID in recent months.

It is not allowed for a member to hold more than one identity, and we have invested a large amount of time and effort installing systems to detect this.

I am holding a multiple ID amnsesty from now until the 13th April at 5pm

If you are holding multiple ID's then you are required to surrender them, nominating the account that you wish to keep.

The admin team will merge accounts at your request so that you do not lose posts or rep, if you do not wish to merge the accounts then the accounts will be removed.

Any users found to be using multiple ID's after the 13th April will be subject to a 7 day ban in the first instance.

I obviously have binxyboo, but my OH has an account under the name BBOH (not that he uses it much!)

RS is correct - we do indeed often know who's using someone else's computer, or sharing one, but we want to reduce to zero the number of multiple identities held by one person. There is no need for a second user id and the rules prohibit it.

There will be a zero tolerance approach to this issue.
