    Re: Invisible Mode

I take it seriously too, as seriously as a media star can!

But if someone wants to, they'll go through your bin for receipts, etc. (kept for 7 years for tax purposes, burned or shredded in my household), they'll go to the electoral register to find out where you live, they'll look to see the car you drive, and so on... Life's too short as long as you're sensible.

My bank noticed the clone instantly and called us regarding the fraudulent debits on our account.

Exactly as Daisy said, why would you want to?

If you are that paranoid you may be better off paying a visit to a shrink, hun

              Re: Invisible Mode

I was one of those who could have been affected by the Child Benefit records that were lost/left on a train (?) a few months ago. Imagine all the details that would have been available to someone to pose as me, apply for loans etc in my name. Someone could have cloned the identity of my son, who is 16 months old now if the records had fallen into the wrong hands. All details of the child/children are recorded too. It did bother me at first (all of us can have on-line banking/access etc) but nothing fraudulent came of it thankfully. As has been said before, if anyone wants to get round it, and clone your identity they will.

                  Re: Invisible Mode

Thanks for the variety of responses. Some constructive and well argued, some less so...

It definitely seems that an invisible mode is something that may not be used frequently if it was available here, which is fair enough.

Interesting that some forums have it and some don't though. Perhaps on the whole Smart owners are more open with information than enthusiasts of other brands?
