        Re: DNS issue

A reverse lookup doesn't always give you the right domain name because the domain -> IP relationship is multi -> single, where as the normal DNS lookup will always tell you the IP.

Punkey, I think that might be well beyond most of the reader's horizon... Reasons for this can be a ignorant provider on your or the maniacs side? Normally this shouldn't happen if the website is on a static address which doesn't change regularly - a different thing if you are on a service like DYNDNS...

Only if this address hosts more than one website... Oh, and I had it more than on one occasion that emails got rejected because our provider wasn't able to get us a proper reverse DNS entry!

I have some hangs loading pages at times , but can't work out whether it's this new dongle or this site , sometimes I can flip to another site and it's rapid meaning it is with this site?, but sometimes it's just hung eternally waiting for the page?

Some providers here in the UK are just :censor:. BTW - I'm a Virgin...

Did you do that PM yet Lee, or was the site too slow for it to work :splat:

                      Thanks Lee,

I'm working with the providers to get this sorted.
