The immediate thread view update was turned off as on a board as large as Maniacs it is very server intensive.

The system was set to update once an hour, but it looks like there is a bug in the code.

I've turned the immediate update back on, and will monitor server load, if it is too much I'll have to turn it off again, but I have logged a support ticket reference the hourly update.
