Of course it is, the fact is that we have a huge number of members who post nothing or hardly at all, and I'm just working on ways to encourage people to get involved.

No need to feel ashamed whatsoever, and my post was not designed to ilicit such a feeling.

Okay I think this is getting a little out of hand.

I have a Forfour, I would love to have a ForTwo but I need a bigger car.
I love my Smart, I have loved Smarts since before they were even released in this country. I love the whole ethos of the Smart community.

I do not know anything technical about Smarts (or any other car) I do not understand what Sam units are, what Mapping is or anything else technical that is talked about on here and seeing as I have a Forfour and have never owned (or been in) a Fortwo or Roadie I cannot contribute on these issues. As for Events and meetings, I have a partner who would not entertain the idea of joining in in that sort of thing (although she also loves Smarts, probably more than me) so I cannot contribute on those posts either.As for the photos I'm getting there on that one but seeing as I use my work computer to post I have to be careful about what I upload as I don't want to lose my job.
So the only area I can really contribute is in the Chatter forum, but I could post hundreds of times in here (I haven't, I'm not that talkative) and I wouldn't be consider worthy enough to join in the arcade (which would cut off another line of conversation) which really is off-topic.
You right, it's not a games forum and in all honesty I'm not that bothered about playing games (I can do that at home) I just wanted to be able to join in the fun and banter and contribute to this community.

I'll have a think about ways to include community chatter, but the access is post count based within the arcade and community chatter posts have been excluded from post count since way before I took ownership of the site.

Oldship30 - enjoy the forum, I mainly post in community chatter as I am not that up modding. I have some technical knowledge mostly random facts and stats but I do try to chip in on some of the more technical threads. This the most community focused and I think busiest smart forum.

Oldship30 - enjoy the forum, I mainly post in community chatter as I am not that up modding. I have some technical knowledge mostly random facts and stats but I do try to chip in on some of the more technical threads. This the most community focused and I think busiest smart forum. For things on forfours I just refer people to forfourowner.com because there is more technical stuff there.

Yes, but it's off-topic. The 25 post limit is good - it encourages new users to participate in the forum activity.

The point of the requirement is to encourage people to participate actively in the forum, the forum is the site, and the main purpose for being.

The arcade is a thanks to those that contribute and support the site, and a promotional tool.
