  • engine12.woorpra.com causing a fault.

As I load a page it sits there trying to load something from engine12.woorpra.com also when typing out a reply it will freeze while accessing the same URL, when it stops accessing (about 10 seconds) all the stuff I have typed suddenly appears.

At first I thought it was linked to the adverts at the top but now I'm not so sure. Sometimes it doesn't kick in, sometimes it does it every 10 seconds or so.

it's not linked to the adverts.
    We'll look into the issue.

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

Sounds like you have some spyware on your machine.

There are various programs and methods for removing such.

      Regards,

No, Woopra is gathering usage stats, I've used it before. It's like Google Analytics.

Ah, that's it, I just looked at the source code and found mention of Woopra in there along with my Email address!
I went to check the privacy statement but the link doesn't work (bottom of the page in the blue bar).

gotcha, though I didn't realise it was using email addresses?
Not in anything I saw anyway.

                  Re: engine12.woorpra.com causing a fault.

As Gavin has said, Woopra is a stats program that I've been using to determine how the site is accessed, when, what searches people are using to hit the site, and what the most popular pages and areas of the site are.

The email address was being sent as part of a vbulletin plugin for woopra, I'd put it on to give me a bit more info.

As I now know it's sending more info than is needed I've removed the vBulletin plugin.

Nothing cloak and dagger I assure you!

                  Apologies!

I've now removed the woopra scripts from the site.

                    It is no longer active.

Your site we trust, it's Woopra we don't!

Exactly, I trust this site not to sell my details, Woopra on the other hand...
