We already have one mod who admits that its handy being one for its perks but would he admit that on the forum..na i do not belive so . Another ban for speaking the truth comming up ???? A week ? A month ? Life time ?

Not sure I follow Tom, however, as someone that has been part of the moderation of this site I would have thought you would have understood the situation. From memory, soulgirl took offence at me moving messages from a thread in a NON CHATTER forum, to a more suitable forum for the discussion taking place.

The site is supported by companies sponsoring it. We are expected to protect their interests, and non sponsor commercial links that interfere with the paying companies business will be removed, it has been written in the rules since day one of me joining Maniacs, long before I took over.

Some companies have repeatedly attempted to flout the rules on advertising, and the system has been set to remove links to those companies sites. Should they become sponsors then that setting would change.

If you have an issue with me or the way the site is run, then contact me via pm or phone, you have my number. I personally, and smartManiacs have always supported both your events, and SpottyBadger productions, and I really do struggle to understand your reasoning sometimes!

Finally, private messages are just that - Private. No moderator can access anyone elses messages, nor can I for that matter, and I would not want to!

untrue. VB admin can read any PM, and can install an addon to allow any moderators to read them as well (standard practice, normally to stop anarcy and mutiny)

untrue. VB admin can read any PM, and can install an addon to allow any moderators to read them as well (standard practice, normally to stop anarcy and mutiny)

RichG has provided me with an assurance that private messages remain private within SmartManiacs, and has said that mods and admin cannot read them. I am prepared to take him at his word because I trust him. Are you implying, therefore, that he is not telling the truth?

i am happy with what rich has said , but can understand if he the facility to be able to look at pm's i can see why cause there could be a case of people sending threatening , harassing pms ect in which case he would have to be able to view them to consider how to deal with the problem !

I've heard this can be the case from other members being unnecessarily vocal.
However, I believe this is not actually an add on and is a hack... I can also assure you that this is not on maniacs.
