Bad Language Filter

Why is it I have to view bad language everytime I log on the site, even though I have the apply filter box ticked?
If I re-tick it the filter works for the current session.

ADMIN EDIT: No foul language should be used in the regular sections of the board full stop! Keep it for the rowdy section please.

It's not a problem for me, it's just my 7 year old nephew was looking at the site with me when I noticed.

It's not working right - but I really don't think that there is any need for bad language in the main forum areas - so keep it to the Over 18's please
