has someone turned the advert placement up to 11 ?

When logged out I'm getting odd phrases and words (like smart car and turbo etc ) getting changed to hotlinks.
When logged in, these disappear

can you turn it down a notch?

see it's done it to some words in my previous post (when I'm logged out again of course)

and hovering over those links give you a green pop-up linking to http://ads.clicksor.com/search.php?q=turbo

Is it you or is it my computer ?

okay, just for your benefit, i decided to log out and see what the fuss was.
yeah, it's a little annoying but it's not overwhelming is it?

it's done as a compromise! Guests see ads and hotlinks, members see only the sponsors' banner ads and an advert at the very bottom of the page that you never ever go to!

If you log in, they go away!

yeah it's no big deal really, it's a recent change right?

The browser I have to use for certain things at work is IE6, and it drags it down to a snails pace ... and that's why I'm 'moaning'

If I stayed logged in at work, well I'd be logged in and I couldn't really talk my way out of not being logged in could I if the boss happened to turn up

I'll give it a try on firefox which I've got here too

What a horrible thing to inflict on non-registered peeps. I've also noticed that on my wife's login there are ads, but as a site supporter I don't get any ads...

I use Google Chrome - and get no adverts even if I log out
