SmartManiacs Discount scheme - what should I do?

I'm not quite sure if this is posted in the correct place, so apologies if not. It's a question for one of the mods really - I joined the site a couple of months ago as a supporter and have my discount card. Today I phoned Tony Purslow of Basingstoke to order some body parts for my roadie - when I questioned the discount, the chap I spoke to said that yes they still do the discount, but that there was some sort of change happening and they had been given a list of forum user names that qualified fro the discount? He had no record of any card numbers to check off, and couldn't find my forum user name on his list.
So.... do I need to contact someone to add myself on to this list, or have I overlooked something else I should have done? He seemed quite confident of being able to do something if I brought my card with me when I pick up the parts (and I can probably show him my membership emails as proof of the date), but I don't want to short-cut any system that might be in place that I don't know about! Would someone please be able to offer me some more information about what's happening?
