Can someone explain what the cryptic slogans are under everyones Username?
To the uninitiated it leads them to believe the relevant user has done something to his car or has some particular trait!
In my case I am perfectly happy (at the moment with my alleged 90) BHP of my brab!
Is it just me that finds them to be annoying?

It will change the more you post, and if you sign up as a site supporter you can put what you like.
I reject your reality and substitute my own

But why have a slogan there at all. How does it help anyone?

I'm not keen. I'd rather it just said member. I've already been a site supporter but there was no renewal price!

I see it as just a bit of fun....the guys don't have to run the site and keep it alive but they do

The "remap" one is a tad confusing granted but once you know it's auto created then it's taken at its face value....

Like on other forums you may be a "legendary member" or "wet behind the ears"

            I like it

I'm really happy to go with the flow. Also I love to have some fun, but for the life of me, I can't connect theses random statements with anything 'fun'. It leaves visitors - and regulars - confused.

And for sure I know the site is just about me, I am just trying to help make it clearer for all users.

Now, you see, I understand things like 'legendary member', 'Old timer', 'Newbie' - they infer some information, but 'Yes it will invalidate...' and 'No more Mr nice guy' or 'My remap...' vague and meaningless

                  Re: Cryptic slogans

If you really feel that strongly about it then become a supporter and you can change it but in the grand scheme of thisngs is it really worth getting upset about?

It's just supposed to be a bit of fun

EDIT: Or [post more till you get one that you do like/find funny

                    Re: Cryptic slogans

it is to new members i guess but to other members they don't as there Q's pop up all the time.

I think new members get "i'm not a troll"

the "my remap gives me an extra 100bhp" is linked to the randomness of comments on how good their remaps are

the "warranty" one is a Q that pops up all the time for everything

"no more mr nice guy" is a personalised one as is my one "44 - the reliable smart"

on forfour.co.uk people can write what they want as well - mine is "100 smiles per gallon" reflecting the fact that i only get 23mpg but its worth it

                      Re: Cryptic slogans

Hi guys, I DO get it, but honestly asking other friends, they to can see much better ways of putting 'fun' into usernames.
Maybe joke of the day, or interesting quotes, or parables.
The fact that I Do get it is why I am highlighting whether the space could be used for something more intersting.
After all, Forums - indeed all websites really all develope fully with user feedback. That is what this is about and why I raised it in the 'Site Update' section.
Anyway, I've said my bit, and you guys have my feedback. So now on this subject I have finished, use the feedback as you please.
                      Cheers.
                      Andy
