Every time I try to add a smiley to a post it locks up my browser & my computer has to restore web page, which deletes my unfinished post.

what browser/computer are you using?
I think as above the initial advice is to look closer to home :s

Yeah I suspect it is my computer it does strange things at times!
It's a Samsung laptop & i'm running Internet Explorer on Windows 7. (Windows 7 has never worked that well for me since I bought this laptop last year).
Smileys worked first time for a change...lol
