Visitor messages are for direct via someones profile (so username all filled in etc)
As for turning them off i would love to.... but

What is it with this visitors section???

I've seen a few this last 48 hours as 'new posts' , and the message is just blank on every one of them ..... seems a bit pointless , so I went and tried to add a message via http://smartmaniacs.co.uk/new-content/7

and if you try and leave a blank message, it says add at least one char, but if you add a message it just says invalid data ?

Same here Ocracoke, I posted last night and it went to moderation, although I've just posted more in the same thread and it went in without moderation

I've just posted a reply to the 453 Review topic and it says my post is now in a moderator queue? Is that meant to happen?

Or is the the latest topics box over to the right on http://smartmaniacs.co.uk/ that's a bit sluggish to populate with new stuff ?

Or doesn't it include all forum sections ?

I don't mean in actual operation, but it takes hours for new posts to filter down onto it ?

I will have a look around see if there are any mods to have the new posts back.

Hi Denis,
Sounds silly but have you read all the posts in all the threads there?
I know this version of the forum software doesn't have new posts, just a new topics link, so if any topics have a new post in them they will show.

I have clicked and read all the posts in the topics there and now showing 0 new topics to view

There appears to be something wrong with the "new topics" function. It's taking me to 2 pages going back a few days. Certainly stuff I've read before.
