      hi

Is the amp powering the door speakers at the moment or do you already have a sub but phase 3 is going to be moving it to the footwell?

Are you going to be at the next Warwickshire meet so I can have a listen or are you just going to be doing the Coventry meets now you've got a more local one to go to?

      See ya

they are splitters....heavy gauge earth lead (silver) goes in and 2 lighter amp leads come out. The other is the remote turn on from headunit (blue)...this is for future upgradeability when i add the amp for the footwell sub. The middle rectangular box is a 2 way splitter fuse box. Smint...the amps powering the components, and yes i will try and make your meet and the cov one!! Your more than welcome to a listen. At the mo.. i have the amp running full range to give me some bass. When i go for phase 3, the amp will run high pass! Cheers, Ant.

Looks tidy bro. Pretty much the same as I have done (but yours is much tidyer lol!)

I must get to the next meet so we can all (and everyone else in the street lol) have a listen to each others systems!

yes mate, sounds like a great idea! I need to pick your brain & look at your sub footwell install. I will be putting an 8" in the footwell in a fibreglass build! Catch u soon! (will be at midlands meet and the Cov meet this month!)

Yeah but thats in a for2.

Now a 15 in a Roady would be something!!

Imageshack or photobucket does free pic hosting mate

I could only just squeeze a JL 10W6 in my Roady and even then I killed most of the passenger footspace. Thats got around 800wrms and it`s very scary.

Bluewaver mate we can sort your footwell one no probs. An 8 would be nice. Any idea on choice of sub yet?

                    Re: Audio Install Phase2 complete!!

Im thinkin of a JL audio (like in your old double box), alpine or kicker me thinks! Havent really looked into it yet tho! I want something nicely balanced with the rest of my system tho, not an 8 million watt RMS 60" sub install!! Hehe! I like breathing!!

Yeah I love JL mate and they work really well with small sealed enclosures so that should sound tidy.

Previously I had the JL8W3 V2 and it sounded great from the JL site it needs - 0.375 cu. ft. / 10.6 liters internal air space so fitting that would be a cinch with minimal loss to floor space (unlike mine lol!).

They can take alot more than their rated power as well. An 8" sealed will be nice and controlled with plenty of SQ.

                        Re: Audio Install Phase2 complete!!

sorry to re-open an old post, but i wonder where to run the amplifier main power wire through from the battery (roadie) to the cabin without introducing leak points or interfering with existing wiring and electrical components?

                        thanks

                          Jamie,

will try and dig through some photos i took. There is a good route, but too difficult to explain in words!!

Can help you if your not too far away either!

if you can get your hands on a JL audio 8W7- they would be great. I can also recomend a kicker solobaric 8 square- a good medium is 300WRMS. Just don't port the box... is sounds poo as the air causes nasty rattling sounds etc.

                              Here you go!

                              1. pull passenger carpet back, remove tyre repair kit, and u will have something like first picture.

                              2. feed wire in hole shown, so it goes in and bends to left. keep feeding it in.

                              3. remove tray from front under bonnet. you should see the wire appear where ive crudely marked 'x'!!!. Use long nose pliers to pull wire through hole.

                              4. rubber grommets for bulkhead holes are always reccomended!

                              5. connect to battery and enjoy!

                              Hope this helps, Ant
