Looks like a good thing, but I can't understand how the iPod attaches to the bracket or am I being thick? Also noticed on the install guide the radio looks very wrong for a forfour standard headunit.

Yup, it works ok, had one on my for four, with a powered adaptor running from the ciggie lighter.

It's best to remove the fascia cover to fit it instead of using the brodit gap tool as the fascia cover marks up easily, then clip the bracket into place and push the fascia cover back into position.
