I normally would have snapped the lug on the speaker, (the ones I took out had one snapped off) but the housing on this speaker is cast and its very very thick. I thought the best option would be snapping the retaining lug on the cover, it still fits securely with the remaining lugs (though they do snap rather easily ive noticed!)

Now it makes more sense! The system you described should have been performing a lot better than it was!

Infinity may well be slightly over-rated but they are still very good, and I agree Sony trade on their name but they are still better HUs than the original Grundig.

The Alpine SW1600 is a roadster classic - a great sub, good price, nice looks
